Women's vintage 1990 yellow gold and crystal brooch pendant
Iradj Moini is known in the haute jewelry world for his distinctive design style, born from a love of color, maximalism, and the unexpected. He made his name in electric atmosphere of New York City at the turn of the 90s, having studied architecture upstate after fleeing the Iranian Revolution. Here, he was welcomed into the House of Oscar de la Renta, where he would design and direct the catwalk jewels for a decade. Insects, particularly beetles and butterflies, are among his signatures. In this instance, a charming bug pendant is brought to life in a cocktail of vivid color, twinkling crystals, and yellow gold.
