Unity stool
Originally designed by Monica Förster for Zanat’s 2020 Lockdown Dialogues project, the Unity stool is a multifunctioning object with a timeless elegance. In a portrayal of the inseparable links that connect humanity as a whole – a notion further compounded through the Covid-19 pandemic – Unity presents a series of prominent voids among solid blocks that are seamlessly sculpted from walnut wood. The result is an exceptionally crafted item that not only represents an abstract humanistic idea, but can be used as either a stool or side table.
