Shibori cashmere travel shawl

After studying Fine Art in Europe, Hiroyuki Murase – founder of Suzusan – realised the inherent beauty of shibori, so set about to revive the traditional craft. To do so, he switched up the fabric, opting for cashmere from Inner Mongolia as opposed to the usual cotton, and explores the various patterns that the age-old method can facilitate. This shawl is a fine example of madara shibori, a Suzusan signature present in every collection.
