This design features a graceful Egyptian Mau cat posing in an ornate shrine. The cat is surrounded by golden amulets, stone carvings, hieroglyphics and offerings from her earthly subjects. Approximate translation of the hieroglyphics in Bastet’s Bounty from left to right: "Bastet, the goddess of Women. Kind protector, fearsome huntress. Protector of cats and secrets, defender of the Sun god, fighter of Apep."
