Large brushed rug

We work with artisans based in southeastern turkey to produce these tactile rugs handwoven from 100% mohair. The rugs are hand-spun on ancient wooden looms following an age-old practice rarely seen in our modern age. The special fuzzy effect is obtained by feathering the surface of the fabric with delicate steel combs, requiring patience and meticulous eye-to-hand skills. This super soft edition uses bright yarns of baby pink and teal, against rich hues of black, navy and bordeaux for its bold striped pattern.
