Japanese shuro hand broom
This traditoinal little Japanese hand broom made from fibres of the palm Trachycarpus fortunei or windmill palm (otherwise known as shuro) is just the job for sweeping workbenches, table-tops and small spaces. The bundle of fibres are firmly bound together with copper wire to form a handle with a satisfying grip, which then split and bound into 3 to form an elongated brushing surface with the perfect balance of coarseness for effective sweeping.
