Hand-glazed terracotta jug

This jug by Silvia K Ceramics is a quietly striking addition to your home, whether it’s used for freshly infused water or a handful of wild stems. It’s handmade in the founder’s favourite terracotta clay and fired to mid-temperature – note how she’s intentionally left a portion unglazed at the base to highlight the material’s beautifully rich colour. If you look closely, you’ll see the waves of speckles around the edges, a result of the iron finding its way through the grey tin glaze. This may vary by design, which is only indicative of the unique, handmade nature of her work.
