Gio Ponti Pezzente hand-blown Murano glass tumblers (set of 6)

There are many chapters in the story of Venini, but one of the most notable is told in collaboration with architectural powerhouse Gio Ponti. Their creative liaison is built on stylistic renewal and Italian craftsmanship, which is honoured today in a series of reissues. The Pezzente service, designed in 1946 in anticipation of the Milan Triennale, came about during Ponti’s tableware set studies. The pieces feature blotches of coloured glass which are applied hot, resulting in the patchwork quality seen on this these tumblers.
