Since 1983, Kim Pan-ki has been a full-time ceramicist, using the time to research, experiment and put into practice a variety of complex techniques. With this espresso cup and saucer set, we see the simple yet effective results of the comb-pattern method, one that’s been celebrated in Korean culture for over 12,000 years. Note how it comes to life through delicate etchings on the clay’s surface, wonderfully enhancing the curved forms.
