Chinese flowers hand-blown crystal water tumbler

In 1993, Peter Rath introduced Lobmeyr’s Oriental Flowers collection, reviving Gustav Schmoranz’s late-19th-century patterns that drew on Europe’s fascination with the newly opened Suez Canal. Hand-blown from lead-free crystal in the Vienna workshop, the designs are adorned with vivid floral motifs applied with painterly precision. Every piece, such as this tumbler, transforms the vessel into a garden in glass.
