Clay cooking pot

Beautifully handcrafted in Romania using skills passed down for generations, our cooking clay pot is a gorgeous addition to your kitchen. Each pot is thrown by hand into a beautiful and traditional shape, before being left to dry and finally baked in a wood-fired kiln.

Cooking with a clay pot adds texture and flavour to your favourite dishes. The steam helps the meat to stay moist and tender and the vegetables juicy and flavorful. Never put a clay pot in a preheated oven as it will crack from the shock of the heat. Place your clay pot in the oven, then turn the oven on. Don't use on direct flame. Once you have finished cooking your meal, let the clay pot cool in the oven before taking it out.

As with all handmade crafts, no two pieces are the same, and, as a result, some minor differences may exist from piece-to-piece. Each pattern is individual, and colours will vary depending on the piece selected. In the pursuit of ensuring a long life for your pottery, as well as keeping the beautiful colours as vibrant as the day they were made, we recommend washing by hand.
