Ash board
Hand-shaped British ash board darkly scorched using the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. Finished with an oak bark-tanned leather loop at one side for hanging and storing, held in place by an English oak peg dowel.
Made by hand in Devon by woodworker Ambrose Vevers using traditional carpentry skills. He sources his timber locally from nearby woodlands, or, more often than not, it is felled and coppiced from the same very land he lives and works on. Ambrose was one of the New Makers that TOAST supported in 2020. Ash.
