1957 Seta ceramic lidded box

One of the early prototypes for Bitossi Ceramiche’s artistic director Aldo Londi’s Seta series, this lidded trinket box displays many of the hallmarks that would come to define the collection. Of particular note, the signature incisions that create abundant texture and a geometric pattern in a trio of contrasting shades, painted atop a backdrop of white slip on red clay.
